“ I live in Bradford so I know what good Indian food is. And this is very good. The service was also excellent, unhurried and polite. Thank you for a great evening! ”
“ Majliss is deservedly the longest running Indian restaurant on the Cowley Road. I've been visiting there for a while now, and the service is unfailingly polite and admirably quick, the food is excellent (I think they do the best Passanda in Oxford, and there are some unusual specials to try), and the prices are very reasonable. A great restaurant to become a regular at or to order takeaway from, standing out in an area known for its food. ”
“ The quality of the food and service is outstanding. The food comes out piping hot and is nicely presented and served. ”
“ I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the team at Majliss. My father frequently orders from your restaurant whenever he desires a takeaway. On certain occasions, such as today, he calls multiple times to inquire about various details. My father experiences mild dementia, and his advanced age adds to the challenges he faces. I truly appreciate your patience with him and the way you ensure he never feels that his inquiries are an inconvenience. I apologize for not intervening more, as I wish to preserve some of his independence. Thank you once again, and the food was exceptional. ”
“ Friendly, and most important really tasty food. Special menu is especially nice. ”
“ Excellent food all 3 of us had a great meal. Big portions but so good had to eat the lot! Good value, nice atmosphere and attentive staff. One to goo to on Cowley Road ”
“ Cannot recommend this place enough: went on a Monday evening and it was quite quiet. The atmosphere is very sleek and professional. Service was quick and diligent, servers were kind and obviously very dedicated to giving us a great experience. Were delighted when we received mango chutney on the house with our poppadoms. As for the food, the lamb samosas and onion bhajis were delicious and crispy. For mains my partner and I had chicken korma and tikka masala. They were incredible, and packed full of flavour without being too spicy. The korma base was deliciously sweet and coconut-y. Additionally, loved the mango Lassi drink, it tasted like a creamy mango yoghurt/milkshake. I'll definitely be going again and bringing more friends. ”
“ Wow, what a place! Even in London I haven’t seen such divine service and delicious food! There’s restaurant has its own parking (in case you’re driving). Upon entering there’s a sitting area in case you need to wait to be seated (very thoughtful). Restaurant is very clean, so are the toilets. Prices are very reasonable, low-mid price. Service was quick, dishes were sooo tasty and definitely remind me of home cooked meals. The hot dishes are more mild for my taste. Starters are small portions, so I’d say if you’re 2-3 people, grab 2-3 starters. Main dishes are very filling, rice needs to be ordered in addition as it’s not included. At the end, after cleaning the table they gave us hot (warm) sanitary towels to clean our hands, gave us each a chocolate and a complimentary beverage on the house (we got coffee). Highly recommend ”
